The Last Night Of Fall
Composed by Etienne Crausaz.
The Last Night of Fall, Etienne Crausaz. Duration 4' 10" The work illustrates the winter solstice, the last night of autumn and the longest of the year. In a way it is the end of nature's cycle, the time when everything seems to stop. The music reflects this melancholy, a night that arrives so soon and seems to last forever. But it also suggests a new beginning; that everything will soon start again. The last chord hints that this is so.
