4 French Renaissance Dances

Michael Praetorius (1571-1621) was a German composer who over a long period of time collected and arranged 312 short dances written by various French renaissance dance-masters. Terpsichore from 1612 is originally arranged for 4-6 voices and were played by the various instruments available at the time.

This arrangement for brass band is divided into 4 antiphonal choirs and the full effect of the arrangement dependents on the choruses being deployed apart.

Suggested set up arrangements are included in the score.
