An Anchor for the Soul, Andi Cook

In early 1968 three Humber trawlers were lost at sea.The St Romanus, The Peridot and the Ross Cleveland there was only one srrvivor and 58 men died.

The piece was written as part of the 50th anniversary became known as the Three Trawler Tragedy and a memorial to those who lost their lives and a tribute to those who fought for better conditions and safer working practices in the fishing industry.

"An anchor for the soul" comprises two seafaring hymns, "Eternal Father Strong to Save" and "Nearer My God to Thee".
